Luis Acosta, president of Houston-based Combitrans, recently announced the opening of his company's first operation in Central America, to be known as Combitrans Honduras. Combitrans Honduras is located just 10 minutes from the airport and 30 minutes from the port of San Pedro Sula.
CT Honduras' main activities will be freight forwarding, NVOCC representation, warehousing and distribution services in Central America.
Dave Lucia, president of Security Cargo Network, said, "Luis and I discussed this course of action last year in Houston, and I am glad it has come to pass. Luis has always been able to supply our members with good contacts in Central America, but the value is much enhanced when we can actually enroll them as members in our group."
