In the news this week, SCNers...Dear
Its good to be moving around a bit more!
As I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, I was off for a week in Las Vegas and Long Beach to see and hear a different angle of what is going on in logistics and the digitalization of the industry.
My thanks to our partner for IT and Integration, PSA Business Group, for putting together a fantastic conference of I.T. companies and forwarders. For once, it was great to understand most of what the IT geeks were talking about! A lot of integrations of specific service offerings on:
- Rate management (ocean freight, US LTL services etc.)
- Insurance
- Measuring equipment
- Tracking
- Payment (esp US terminals and lines)
- Offsite processing centres
- Digital reading
- …..and many more.
If you’re looking for some of that, please let me know and we’ll connect you up
As a complete contrast to that, it was back to Spain and off on the “Camino de Santiago” – an old pilgrimage hike route through Spain. I didn’t quite do all of the 790kms in my three days, but we made a good start with about 70kms. We all need to disconnect and recharge. Make sure you don’t get too drained by focusing too obsessively.
As far as network activity is concerned, we are very pleased to confirm further growth of the network with the incorporation of a new member to TURKEY:
Millalog International Logistics (Istanbul, Turkey)
Please welcome them to our community and check out their service offerings.
Also have a quick look through (we know you’re busy!) of some of the other snippets of news from members. If anything catches your eye, contact the member in question and ask more about it. It doesn’t cost much to keep in touch
Finally, its good to see numbers continuing to swell for the conference in Bangkok. Its gonna be a good one!
Take care,
David and the SCN team
