In the news this week, SCNers...Dear SCNer
With most forwarders around the world navigating around cargo delay, exceptional rates and shortages, it is probably good to give a thought to other forwarders who deal with more extreme situations. Here at SCN we want to steer away from politics and the divisions it can create and consider that there are some pretty messed up parts of the world with some very resilient people hanging in there to pay their mortgates, feed their kids and live as well as they can.
One example of such resilience is Kiy Avia Cargo, who continues to give logistics services in Ukraine. We’re very pleased to have you as part of the SCN community. We’ll be looking at other examples of difficult markets in the next weeks where we have some professional logistics cover for an occasional shipment or something more regular.
As always, the SCN community is about getting together. A proposal from Amtrans to visit them at Intermodal in Sao Paulo, or if you are a bit less mobile due to restrictions, make sure you connect up to our next cybermeeting. It would be good to see some debate on LinkedIn about where you think the container industry is going.
A final word of warning, as we’ve seen another of those time wasting scams to get you to pay money elsewhere and not (in this case) to SCN. Please ALWAYS be aware of bank details changes…remember that we all have phones! If in doubt, call.
