Good morning…afternoon…evening…or whatever
How many of you are like Wouter, I wonder.
Why Wouter?…Even who’s Wouter? you may ask. I refer to Wouter of Blue Core (Cape Town, South Africa) with who I had the good fortune to chat with again these past few days. He doesn’t really “get round” to telling us about who he’s working with, as he reveals the names of about a dozen SCN members who he’s pleased he’s doing business with regularly. Certainly not bad for a relative newcomer!
I don’t mean to stick my nose in where there are confidential details – but it helps greatly to see such wide collaboration within the network. Its obviously a better idea to roll your sleeves up and do some work, instead of spending time telling SCN about past glories….or is it? In these times, difficult for many, its important to let others know where you’ve been successful and we’re delighted to sperad the word, which helps to get your next potential jobs in.
So not just thanks to Blue Core (Cape Town, South Africa) but to all members who have opened up to us a little over these past weeks on Zooming Into…:

Let us know if you too would like to learn how you can boost your profile and tell us more about your activity. (Next up, Vangard, India…!)
While we’re on video meetings, a quick survey of who now LIKES video conferences and meetings. Do you?
No, I didn’t think so…and frankly, neither do I much (and you don’t even get to vote on it!!). However, as it looks like they’re here to stay for a while, we might as well get used to them!
Tomorrow (Wed 28th October) we have another session of CYBERMEETINGS to hear the opinions of SCNers on how they have branched out to other offices. Franchises, corporate expansions, partnerships….or simply working with agents around the world. Let’s see what you all have to say
And also coming up on your calendar is our SCN VIRTUAL NETWORKING DAY (3rd December). Time to sign up for that, if you haven’t already.
Also have a quick look through activity from some of our members. Bati Logistics (Istanbul, Turkey) has project work all wrapped up. Holship (Offices throughout Scandinavia and Baltic) is hiring and a word from our partner xChange on high current charges of container pick ups, as the roller coast year of logistics continues to cause problems in the Far East and other places.
Have a good week, and we hope to see you and share some comments tomorrow
