So, its now been a year since Covid-19 hit us here in Spain. Some of you got it earlier, some later…but we are all together in being very tired of it. Its good to be optimistic about what we have had and can still do – and the fact that we work in logistics helps as we are clearly doing so much better than friends in restaurants, travel, the arts…but today i get the sensation that my world has become so SMALL! Not in the way of being interconnected instead simply miniaturised, of less value.

I spoke last week of being “zoomed out”. No, it doesn’t exactly substitute those personal interactions or that dinner together but let us continue on for a bit more enjoying it as the best many of us can manage and looking with healthy envy at those who can now interact more freely. We still have a second “Virtual Conference” on the cards, but as few have expressed an interest of having those screen one-to-one meetings just yet, we’ll keep that under wraps a little longer.

Although our personal lives may be limited, the SCN world continue to thrive. I think we all have moments when we can be pleased to have an outlook and contacts around the globe! We are pleased to welcome Amatrans as new member in Concorezzo, Italy. They are the first of various new members we’ll be presenting to you shortly, so watch this space! Many thanks to all the members that have recommended potential members too

As for existing members, we have Shenzhen Anda Shun (China) starting their regular air charters to Europe, while on the other side of the world and in the seas, Amtrans (Brasil) closes the year in an amazing second place as FCL export TEUS from Brazil for 2020. Also in the news this week is New Globe (India) with another project move, this time showing one of their OOG movements to NY.

A quick reminder for our SPANISH SPEAKING members, that tomorrow, 10th March we will be joined by EVERGREEN MARINE CORP‘s Mexican office for some insight into the state of Container shipping. Please join us if you can .
