Hello once more
Another week when many of us are starting to see some easing up of restrictions and interest in opening up….while we all wonder what sort of world we will open up to! It all looks a bit bleak out there, with many not fortunate to have jobs, and many companies struggling given the large drop in demand, even when they can open up and operate smoothly
But I’m sure we all continue to be pleased that we are not stuck in a multinational corporation with its rigid structure. Instead the SCN community shows its interest in connecting up on both a personal level and with services too
Given the high level of demand for charter moves and larger airfreight moves, particulalry from China and far east, we will keep a fixed post of member’s information and services for airfreight. Here’s the link for that one, which we will keep active as info comes in. Also find the info, whenever you want, in the NEWS section of SCN’s web page, in “SCN Member Services”. Please let us know about your individual charter moves, your charter services of any specific service that members need to know about so we can add it
This week has also seen another successful round of “Cyber Meetings” as members shared their thoughts on “Opening Up after Covid”. Its always great to see not only the regular attendees but also some new faces. In addition to our two meetings in English, a special thanks to those who joined us in Spanish for our meeting – which we will certainly repeat on the 25th of May. Helps us all to understand the particular details of the current situation all around the globe. If you want to join us let us know: hello@securitycargonetwork.com
Meanwhile, of course we all need to keep busy with cargo activity. This week, take a look at CTS (Guangzhou, China) who has shared some of their air charter photos with us. Meanwhile, a reminder from AGL (Seoul, Korea) that despite the situation, fraud is still happening and we all need to take care with “man in the middle” fraud. Our special thanks to ICAT (USA) who’s vigilance helped to avoid a much worse outcome, by notifying us of the case.
As to cargo solutions, also take a look at bulk solutions by Kasy Logistics (China), with a service to Gulf and East Coast USA. Also a reminder of GSFS (Qatar)who’s sea-air services out of China, through Dubai have already resulted in an SCN collaboration.
…as I said, I bet you’re all pleased that you’re not just sat at home from a multinational forwarder! Better to be part of SCN and in this together – don’t hesitate to contact for some reasons why!
Take care and remember that there are brighter days coming soon.
