Hello again

Once again, we’re setting SCN up as a platform for dialogue and collaboration for logistics people. After the success of being able to pull MARRIOTT MARQUIS into a conversation about conferencing in these times, we wanted to turn to AIRFREIGHT DURING COVID-19 and AFTER. Frankly, its proving a little difficult, so here I am to ask for some help from YOU.

We all know that airlines are having serious problems after a freeze on their operations. I think we’re all interested in looking to see how we will get out of this situation so I’m sure that some airlines will be interested in discussing the situation with a group of their clients and potential clients. We all know that noone likes difficult conversations with clients, but we are all appreciative of those who want to be part of the conversation. Do you know any airlines that would like to be part of the conversation with SCN in a Cybermeeting? Please let us know. We already have one international airline interested in taking part. We’d love to make the conversation wider. So, mark your calendar for our next cybermeeting on 29th June. Have a look here.

The directors of Securityplus! also connected up (and in some cases, got out of bed at uncomfortable hours!) for our Securityplus! annual diretors meeting, usually held during our annual conference of SCN. Very pleased that technology made that possible, although once more, makes us look forward to next year for our usual REAL meeting.

Meanwhile, members continue to talk of their specialities and activity. US Group/Consolidator Int. shares their prowess in the currently booming sector of laboratory logistics. Havener Shipping Services shows some of their work in RoRo from their hub in Dubai, UAE and Golden Ways Logistics shows some of their project capabilities in, out and through Jordan. If its Transpacific services you need, then look no further than Norman Global Logistics and their option for time sensitive ocean shipments. Many thanks to you all for sharing that activity with us.

Finally note that we have a couple of suspended members this week – we don’t know if these companies will be reinstated later, but its clearly difficult times for all but specially in certain zones and markets. To make your you have a track on current members, ALWAYS CHECK ON SCN’S WEBSITE FOR ACTIVE MEMBERS.
