As we all increasingly focus on advances and importance of digitalization, let me start by sharing with you an image from google maps (since removed) where the google car had to ask for directions after getting lost to a local passer-by. Not too sure if this is indicative that you shouldn’t underestimate the importance of human assistance and back up, or an image of what we’ll be left with if we don’t go more digital…! Meanwhile, back in the land of increasing digitalisation, time to update you on some of the activity around the network.

Also thanks to Richard Arnold of Quick Cargo (London, UK)for giving us some of his time with a Zoom conversation – to learn more about Quick Cargo’s focus and help out a bit more with the SCN network. Also Merzario (Holland, Germany, UK + China, Vietnam, HK) who are integrating their German offices increasingly into the network which expanding in Holland.
Landmarks for our good friends at Megrex (Tbilisi, Georgia) who celebrate their 5th anniversary – it was to be a wide celebration, unfortunately cancelled (or postponed..?) due to Covid-19, with many other matters.
From down under we have a rather less attractive offering from Michael at Austorient (SYD & MEL, Australia) as the Aussies once again find a bug that will need fumigating out of cargo bound for them.
We are also very pleased to be able to start sharing currency forecasts from our partner Currency Direct. We will be getting monthly updates from them on currency forecasts, especially regarding movements of USD, EUR and GBP which will be particularly interesting due to forthcoming elections and other factors. Please let us know if it is of interest for your planning.
