In the news this week, SCNers...Dear
It seems that the more we speak of digital advances, the more we feel digital FRUSTRATIONS…..and not only in logistics. Let me explain a little
This week, you find me fighting with my cell phone company, who seems to be blocking some calls. Lots of time fighting with bots and call centres (and please let me know if you cant seem to get through). I also have a courrier delivery returned to Barcelona after “three failed attempts to deliver” and no possibility to know why it was not possible and a receiver who says that noone came round or contacted. The worst is of course no HUMAN to speak to and resolve the issue.
And just as I bite my tongue and gnash my teeth…off I go to meet with Moldtrans Spain, who speak of how they direct their service choice with a careful mix of efficient effective service – and an ability to resolve problems when they occur in our complex world of forwarding. Problems and changes happen and being able to adjust still seems to be where humans are needed, if only to back up those well designed IT systems.
Speaking of human, those Bangkok attendee numbers keep going up. Have a look at the attendees if you’ve not signed up (and remember there are a lot more still waiting to see the situation in their countries to add themselves to the list). We’re looking forward to a well attended meeting. If you have anything you’d like to comment on to enhance the conference for yourself and other SCNers, please let us know.
I’m off to England and my niece’s wedding so I’ll be out of the office for the rest of this week….checking up on the efficiency of UK airports in post-Brexit times. Wish me luck!!
Take care and enjoy your networking!
