Welcome SCNers“What am I doing down here with my intro?” you may be asking. Firstly, it is to see if you notice that we’ve moved the welcome message down here! We know that most people skim through the newsletter, so by giving you the links above it might be a bit quicker for you. It will also mean that YOUR next post will be more prominent….so what are you waiting to tell us about it?!! The fact that YOU are reading this is evidence that it reaches some people….probably more than we think with such crowded e-mail inboxes. Any feedback on newsletter format would be most welcome (hello@securitycargonetwork.com)

This week I’d like you to give a moment to wish a hearty and global “GET WELL SOON” to Syahirah of Cargomind Malaysia. One more SCNer who is currently unwell with Covid-19. I’m fully aware that so many more of you have colleagues, family, clients and friends currently going through the effects of Covid-19, and many maybe in a critical situation or even lost their lives. Syahirah is maybe a reminder to us all that we STILL need to be careful, there is hope but there must be patience. I’m sure that many of you don’t know her – but we’re all in it together in wishing a speedy recovery for her and the rest of the planet! Cargomind (Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA) are currently all working from home, but they will respond to you. Again, please just a little patience there too.
Meanwhile, logistics remains frenetic, bumpy and difficult around the world. This leads me onto our next CYBERMEETING on 24th February, where we will be sharing opinions on how the ocean freight industry is developing and our part in it. Is there space for medium sized forwarders? how will rates be in a few months (or years). Please sign up and let us know if you are in contact with shipping lines to connect up too (…and I know you ALL ARE).
As far as SCN members are concerned, did you know that Custodia Freight (Los Angeles, USA) handles fine art shipments? Or that Stock Logistic (Valencia, SPAIN) has a large warehouse capacity to cater for its paper business? Meanwhile, US Group Consolidators (China, HK, Taiwan, Vietnam, Singapore & USA)continues to branch out to give even more cover to you with Hanoi and Tianjin. Maybe its time you reached out to them too.
Back to SCN, and we continue to look out for members who would like to double their followers on LinkedIn, so if you have seen that could be a positive step for you, please contact us.
Finally, I’ve had a short message back from MTTM Integrated Shipping & Logistics (Yangon, MYANMAR). They inform me that they are well. We must also ask for patience regarding logistics matters with this location due to the current situation in the country.

Have a great week….and remember we’re here to help out with connecting you up, around the world and with each other.
