Good morning…afternoon…or whatever it is for you
Another week of activity around the globle, around the network and around the internet for us here
Many thanks once more to the many of you who connected up for our last cybermeeting on 2nd Sept. I really would stress the value of these who have not been able to connect up yet – in these times when we see so few people (and knowing that we’d all really like to share a beer…but that’s not happening…yet) its really is important to get together and learn from each other. Click to find out what we talked about. Also, don’t be left out again, and sign up for the next one on digitalization on 30th September- click here for that. Don’t worry if you don’t want to speak – although if you do, even better! Let us know beforehand if you’d like to share your digital knowledge with SCNers.
Also on our digital connections, thanks to ICAT (Baltimore & Detroit) who wanted to know more about how they can increse their visibility and traffic flows in SCN. Who doesn’t, eh? Please to both show them some SCNer methods and learn more about them
Going south of the border, or maybe through the border, we’re very pleased to welcome ADV Logistics (Laredo USA) as our Mexican member branches out and adds their cross border branch to add to their offices in Manzanillo and Veracruz.
elsewhere around the network we have activity in Chennai from PSTS as they move port cranes, our friends at ILG Koper also seem to be friends with Rod Stewart, as they give his car a sailing (although I think they took Rod out first…waiting for confirmation on that), Golden Ways (Jordan) tells of their recent office move to give more space for themsleves AND your cargo!
Thanks too to Stefan at Norman Global (China) for sharing with us the article from South China Morning Post on tendancies in volumes and rates from Asia. Its been a bumpy ride for rates and planning of clients cargo moves. Let us know what you think on the subject too.
Finally a very big thanks to our partners at xChange – not only finding solutions for you with SOC containers, but also setting up a fantastic digital summit. Many motivational speekers and one-to-one meetings with profesionals around the world. Once more, additional screen time instead of meeting up (what would my sons say!!) but its giving us some ideas at SCN…..what do you think? Let us know if you’d like something similar for the SCN Community
Enjoy the rest of your week…..stay safe!
