This month, we’re highlighting Holship Finland, who are proving that even small, practical steps can make a big difference for the environment.
For some of their import clients in Kajaani, Holship Finland developed a clever and sustainable logistics solution:
🚢 Containers are unloaded at the Port of Helsinki,
🚛 And instead of returning empty containers 550–600 km back to Kajaani, they collaborate with a trucking company already handling export loads from the same area.
The result?
✅ No empty container runs – saving hundreds of kilometers of unnecessary driving
✅ Lower CO₂ emissions
✅ More efficient use of transport capacity
By planning ahead and partnering smartly, Holship Finland is showing that sustainable logistics is not just about grand gestures — it’s about everyday decisions that make a lasting difference.
