Transit Time from 45 hours to 45 days – but is the client content?
Tracking shipments and ensuring merchandise gets to location as indicated and needed is an essential part of a forwarders’ success.
However, with geopolitical events, that is not always possible -even with the best intention. Recent war in the Middle East has generated many trapped and problematic shipments, as Femag Transportation (Taiwan) as also seen
One shipment had already left Taiwan and was held in Hong Kong on route to Dubai. Femag’s good relationship with (#AIRLINE) allowed the goods to be brought back to Taiwan and resent. With the war still generating blockages in The now famous Strait of Hormuz and beyond to the Gulf, the cargo was rerouted by Femag via Singapore, Oman and on for final delivery in Dubai – with a considerable delay.
Sometimes shipments are not about moving the goods, closing the file and moving on – instead considerable problems can (and do!) occur, and it is at times like these when FEMAG can adapt and solve the shipment.
Yes, with a considerable delay
Yes, with additional costs
But with explanation and a willingness and ability to resolve, the goods in the right place.
