A recent logistics operation coordinated by SCN member Amatrans di E. Trentini & C. S.n.c. highlights the power of collaboration and expertise in delivering high-value, complex projects.
The project, executed with the support of ABL NV, a Belgium-based agent specializing in project cargo, involved the movement of critical materials for the construction of a new wing at HUMANITAS Hospital in Milan. Renowned as one of Italy’s most advanced medical centers, HUMANITAS leads in scientific research and diagnostic technology.
The shipment began at the IBA SA headquarters in Louvain La Neuve, Belgium, and was transported via the port of Antwerp aboard GRIMALDI and MSC vessels to Genova, Italy. From there, the cargo was delivered to the hospital site in Rozzano, just south of Milan.
This project, valued at over 35 million EUR, is centered on the installation of groundbreaking cancer treatment equipment, marking a significant leap forward in medical technology.
The logistics operation involved the transport of approximately 500 tons of materials, utilizing a mix of truck, rail, and sea transport to ensure smooth and efficient delivery.
