Moldtrans, S.L. – AEO Certificate

Member News

We’re glad to announce that our Spanish and Portuguese Member, Moldtrans Group, has announced the obtaining of the AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) certification issued by the State Tax Administration Agency (AEAT) and which allows the simplification of customs procedures. Thanks to this certificate, the processing of export and import shipments of Moldtrans Group customers with third countries can be streamlined.

The AEO certification is the result of the work carried out in recent months by the Customs Division of the Moldtrans Group, with the advice of the firm Juma Consulting – OEA Consultores, which has offered advice and support in a process that began in February of 2020 and culminated this October with the award of the certificate.

The process has required the optimization of various aspects of the integral logistics services offered by the Moldtrans Group, such as security and surveillance of merchandise, real-time information systems on the status and location of shipments, etc. The result is a better management and reduction of risks derived from the supply chain, which also translates into greater agility in international trade operations between companies in the countries of the European Union, as a result of the mutual recognition of the AEO Certificate.

Specifically, the AEAT certificate granted by the AEAT ensures compliance with the management criteria of information systems, merchandise security, adherence to customs regulations and economic-financial management established by this regulation. Consequently, the companies that obtain this certification achieve recognition as a commercial partner of the highest confidence for customers and suppliers who carry out expeditions within and outside the European Union, by proving their professional skills, transparency criteria and financial solvency.

As an Authorized Economic Operator, the Moldtrans Group achieves several direct benefits in its international land, air and maritime transport activities that have as origin or destination countries that are not members of the common customs space of the European Union. This is due to the possibility of availing themselves of simplified customs procedures.

Thanks to these procedures contemplated by AEO certification, Moldtrans Group shipments will have to undergo fewer physical controls and documentation when passing through customs. In addition, the expeditions of its clients will have priority in the shipments chosen for inspection, including the possibility of choosing the place where said examination is carried out. Having the AEO certificate also implies a more fluid relationship with the customs authorities of the different countries, which allows speeding up the resolution of possible incidents that arise.

Obtaining the AEAT certification issued by the AEAT is an endorsement of the credentials of our Group as specialists in international transport, as well as a guarantee for clients as qualified logistics partners for the management of their shipments destined for export and import. . This will help us to continue promoting activities related to foreign trade, which have a growing weight in our turnover ”, explains Carlos Moldes, president of the Moldtrans Group.

Currently, the Moldtrans Group offers a wide variety of support services for the export and import of merchandise, with direct international land transport services to Europe, North Africa and Turkey; maritime and air transport services to the whole world through a network of correspondents and agents in the main destinations; as well as customs services that include authorizations such as a Temporary Deposit Warehouse (ADT), and the recently obtained certification as an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO).
