In the news this week, SCNers...

Dear SCNer

It is easy to get drawn by the headlines, the major traffic lines, the big movements. However, difficult and challenging markets can also be where agile and adaptable logistics solutions come into their own. that sounds very much like the mantra of independant forwarders’ terrain.

A couple of examples this week. We’re very pleased to welcome back into the network Roadtimes International Logistics. Many of you will know then as being part of Cargo Future Group (Beijing, China). Although they handle all freight modalities from their base in Beijing, they are especially focused on ROAD solutions for cargo from China into Central Asia and Europe. Another option in blocked cargo times

Also, as we look to challenging markets, a quick reminder and update from our member in Venezuela, Segaduanca (Caracas, Venezuela).  Not JUST a challenge with the shipping lines, as I’m sure you can appreciate.

We’ve also been taking a look at ADV’s growth in Mexico, All Service’s (Milan) commercial growth in Italy and a nice “little” move from F.W. Neukirch in Germany. These are obviously challenging times in logistics, but as I was recently told, with so much money in logistics at present, if you are not able to make profits now, you should be questioning your focus within this industry! While we make all of them famous, its good to see also that Phoenix(Greece, Bulgaria, N Macedonia) is also hitting the news of Forbes. Take a look at that too.

And if its focus and clarity you’re after, remember our next Cybermeeting is with Lars Jensen. We’ve all realised now that there is no easy fix to the situation of bottlenecks – but we equally want to know what the future holds for the logistics industry and forwarders in it. For our spanish speaking members, we also have some other sessions from Zaragoza Logistics Centre, starting with “Retos & Desafios de la cadena de Suministro 2022”  on 3rd March. Please try and connect up and get informed for our free sessions.

Finally, please note that I’m travelling this week….AT LAST…so there may be a slight delay in some matters. Remember to copy in the SCN team!
