Here we are once more SCNers
The roller coaster of the year continues but its good to see a large number of you increasingly think that its better together than on your own.
This was very easy to see during our most recent SCN Cybermeeting 20th January. The intention was to talk about mid term influences of trade deals, although with enthusiastic members also went on to discuss more immediate concerns. Take a look at what was commented on and note in your agenda to fee 30-45 mins for the next one. Assuming of course you want to be the “SCN go-to person” in your market.
Optimism is accompanied by concern for payment in these turbulent times. Time to remember that you’re protected as SCN members with Securityplus!, but we all need to be careful. Please join us in reporting any cases of late payments as soon as possible, so other members are not affected, and the general issue of slow payments is kept out of SCN collaborations.
As for SCN members, Cenk at Yeniay Lojistik (Istanbul, Turkey) tells us that his team finished the year at 8th largest air cargo mover following a very successful December. Also in the news is Target Logistics (Tel Aviv, Israel) as it becomes part of T.S.M. Group to give stronger coverage to partners. For more member activity, why not try connecting up to more SCN members and getting them to connect to you through LinkedIn and SCN Members. Get more mileage for your news when you’re with SCN!
Finally, of the hundreds of e-mails I receive, I wanted to highlight one this week – when we consider if the current situation is positive or negative, there is always an element of ATTITUDE in the conclusion. As agile and independant logistics professionals, maybe many of us could listen to Richard Arnold of Quick Cargo (London, UK) as he looks on the positive side of freight forwarding today.
Have a great week….and remember we’re here to help out.
