Have you ever thought what our objectives are as a network? What’s the difference between “a LIST of forwarders” that you can consult to spray out a few rate requests and a NETWORK.
What we try to do is to bring different people in interactions that provide insight between our mutual contacts. Noone has time to go and search through the multiple options we all have in our interconnected world, but by being in contact, and understanding what makes each of us tick, we can take on board ideas, suggestions…and agents and cargo!
Given that, we’re at a very interesting time in SCN and more generally in logistics. Many thanks once more for all of you that attended our SCN Cybermeeting. We thought that attendance would be lower, given the various holidays around the world, but we managed to have some excellent exchanges and interactions. If you didn’t make it, take a look at the videos of the meetings when you get change.
Understanding data, with so much data thrown around is tough! WebCargo did a great job in handling all their data and pleased to see they are sharing it with us too. We now look to put together some of the agents who are interested in “BOOKING DELEGATION” to get rates out quicker.

With regards to reaching further, a warm welcome also to our new SCN member this week, Naxco Shipping (Casablanca, Morocco). Our seventh country covered by a new member this year (and to add to many members adding offices). OK…we did lose one this year too, but our controlled and steady expansion continues.
Finally, looking forward to meeting various SCN members in a couple of weeks in Rotterdam. We already have a dozen SCN members meeting up….but there is room for more! If you fancy meeting up….and “meating up” at a great restaurant, be our guest!..and let us know you’ll be in town.
