SCN once again was pleased to be given a little time of a member this week to explain about their specialities, interests and what they too can give to the network. This time it was Ashwin Didwania and Nomita Kothari from New Globe Logistik.
New Globe Logistik LLP., a premiere ISO 9001 Certified, IATA approved Logistics Company involved in Air and Ocean Freight Forwarding, Custom Clearance & Logistics Services headquartered in Mumbai/ India and with nation wide network of offices covering India and of course SCN members to cover the rest of the world.
Ashwin Didwania prompted the meeting by telling us that he will now move away from day to day management of New Globe to focus on building further the brand , heritage and business of this great company whilst Nomita will take over as from the 1st of April 2021 as new CEO and will for sure take New Globe group to “greater hights”. Welcome Nomita!!! – and here at SCN, we certainly don’t think that Ashwin will dissappear quietly!
Nomita, with a background of many years with airlines has already been with New Globe for the past two years and is keen to lead the company to new heights, with of course the support of SCN network members.
Following a couple of “closed” months in 2020, the rest of the year represented a historically good year for the company. Ocean freight volumes especially were increased as were airfreight, projects and other moves. Despite Covid-19 difficulties, Ashwin and Nomita are particularly proud to have been able to develop a range of new services in India including:
- Cold Storage Facility at New Mumbai
- Garment Inspection Centre’s at Delhi and Tirupur
- Bonded trucking into Bangladesh – Regular road truck between Mumbai & Kolkata
Soon we will be seeing new developments of their commercial activity in Holland, as they assist Indian exporters with fiscal representation in Europe and services to connect them with e-commerce platforms and other distribution round the continent.
