Of all the many members of SCN that we have around the world, there are few as enthusiastic about the concept of NETWORKING than VANGARD LOGISTICS.
We had the opportunity to speak to managing director Kumaran to tell us more about his company and learn more of what we are trying to do at SCN.
As those attending the CYBERMEETING on branching out and starting new offices heard, while Kumaran contineus to press forward with freight forwarding, he is also dedicating an increasing amount of time to TRADING which is handled both from the company head quarters in Chennai and thought the new venture in SINGAPORE. Singapore has been chosen due to the banking facilities and the ability to make and maintain global contacts.
Among the trades that Vangard is now involved in is animal feed from Ukraine to India – and of course if anyone else has interests in that field (or clients who might have) its time to start networking with Kumaran! Guarments and sports logistics have also been recently prominient in Vangards movements. The love of cricket in India is also a business opportunity for Vangard!
Kumaran also paints a very positive picture of the economy in India. Although Covid-19 is still there, life continues and business is thriving, partly due to many supply chains being diversified from China to other markets. These include Vietnam, Indonesia, Pakistan and of course India, who is well positioned to take more industry due to its productive capacity.
Kumaran added that he “firmly believes that the power of networking within and between members should grow as we need to grow more business together”
SCN will of course be there in all parts of the networking connectivity and we have great plans to help bring “sales leads” into a more modern part of the logistics network.
