Hurricane Dorian Port Update

Community News

With Hurricane Dorian inching ever closer to the U.S. mainland, we would like to update our members on the current state of Florida ports. The following information has been supplied to us by the Florida Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association, Inc.:

  • PORTMIAMI

PortMiami is closed to all vessel traffic until further notice.

Tunnel is closed.

All other port access is closed.

  • MIAMI AIRPORT

MIA remains open and is no longer in the cone of concern for Hurricane Dorian. However, some airlines have canceled some of their flights. Please follow-up with your airline about your flight status.

  • PORT EVERGLADES / Fort Lauderdale Airport

Port Everglades is closed until further notice by order of the U.S. Coast Guard.

Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) is closed at noon, Monday, September 2, until further notice.

Cruise passengers should contact their cruise lines and airlines for information about upcoming travel.

  • Port Canaveral

Port Canaveral is closed. We are optimistic the port will reopen by Thursday.

  • JAXPORT

JAXPORT’s terminals are now closed to all commercial traffic. The port will remain closed for the duration of Hurricane Dorian and until cleared to reopen by the U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port for Sector Jacksonville.

The Captain of the Port will set Port Hurricane Condition ZULU for the Port of Jacksonville as of 8 a.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2019.

  • Orlando International Airport

Orlando International Airport ceased commercial operations at the end of Monday’s flight schedule and will monitor the path of the Hurricane to determine an appropriate time to reopen following the storm.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all those who have been, and those who may be, affected by Hurricane Dorian.
