In the news this week, SCNers...Dear
As the year draws to a close, its probably time for us all to look back on what we did, what we achieved, but moreso to look ahead to see what next year will bring.
SCN continues on its path to grow, encourage interactions, activity and debate….but we know there is much more. We’re kind of between enthusiasm for what the SCN Community can achieve, and a “mild frustration” driving us forward as we fight against the time constraints of everyone. We would like to heartily thanks those who have participated in one way or another in the contacts to date.
Next year, we want to make a more solid focus on enviromental business. Flying flags and tying flowers to things is very beautiful, but possibly less productive than looking for green business opportunities for SCNers.
- Is there a business model for plastic transport to REDUCE use of new plastic stock?
- Does legislation and control of Carbon Emissions offer more than simply increased reporting?
- and overall, ….from Greenwashing your businesses to a small grain of sand of action.
All of that, while we see more activity around the network
Thanks for all members for submitting news. From CIMC Anda Shun, as they branch out into Vietnam and beyond, to collaboration in Central America between Enlace and Net Logistics. A project for Shipmaster, Brasil moving a crane for wind park in northern Brasil, and a reminder of our new member AN Global in Peru. Move development in Moldtrans Spain and some outback enthusiasm from OCAM, Australia talking of their ecommerce business developing from their forwarding.
Lots happening….although we’re always interested in hearing more. What are YOU up to….and where will you be going in 2023?
….remember to get involved and let us know if we can help out…
